WINDFRD Aluminum Swing Arm
Key details
- Arm Length
- 6 inches
- Screen Range
- 5 to 12 inches
- Load Capacity
- 110 lbs. static and 22 lbs. dynamic
- Mounting Type
- Drill-down base
The first thing that sold us on this mount is the load rating: 110 pounds static and 22 pounds dynamic, paired with a 5- to 12-inch screen range. That is far more headroom than most boat dashes need, and it means a 9- or 12-inch graph is not riding at the edge of the mount's capacity. The all-aluminum body and stainless hardware also feel like the right answer to salt, sun, and a wet deck.
The two pivot points rotate through 360 degrees, and the 6-inch arm is long enough to clear a windshield or a dash lip without turning into a lever. On a flat dash, we set the screen angle once and found the hardware easy to lock down. On the water, the useful part is being able to swing the display toward the helm when you are running and push it aside when you are casting.
This is a mount for a larger graph or a boat that sees chop, and the extra aluminum is the reason it feels so settled. The trade-off is that it is heavier and more expensive than the composite and short-arm picks here, which matters on a kayak or a tiny tiller boat. For a center console or a bass boat with a permanent dash, that heft is exactly what you want.
Pros
- High 110-pound static and 22-pound dynamic rating
- Fits 5- to 12-inch displays
- All-aluminum body with stainless hardware
- Two pivots swing the screen clear
Cons
- Hole pattern won't match every bracket without drilling
For a 5- to 12-inch graph on a boat that sees chop, this is the mount we trust to keep the screen where you set it.
